Description

Typical Application of Siphons:

  1. Steam Services
  2. Protect pressure gauge from high temperature services and pressure surges

Description:

Pressure gauge siphons acts as a thermal barrier and are used to protect the pressure sensing instruments from the effect of hot pressure media such as steam or harmful hot vapours. It also helps to reduce the effect of rapid pressure surges. The condensate so formed is collected inside the coil or pigtail area of the siphon. The condensate prevents the direct contact of hot pressure media with the pressure instrument.  During first installation it is recommended to fill the siphon with suitable filling fluid / compatible liquid.

Testing:

Every Siphon is tested for the finish and workmanship.

Optional test like hydro-test (1.5 times of the working pressure) is available upon request.
